"walk-n-roll" : episode 13

A great joy this week was having the pleasure of meeting Steven Goodwin, CEO of Hard Rock Park, and talking with him about the largest charity initiative in Myrtle Beach's history, Sara's Beach Walk, happening over the three-day period of September 20th-22nd.

We were truly moved by this man who recently lost his life's partner, Sara, and is combining a way to honor her memory and give back to the Myrtle Beach community on a grand scale.

We encourage everyone to get involved at some level in Sara's Beach Walk, as the end result will be helping local children in need, both through the SOS Children's Healthcare and by the building of an SOS Children's Village in Myrtle Beach.

Kudos to Steven and the backing of Hard Rock Park for turning such a tragic loss into such a benevolent cause.

As it's the last week-end of the summer season, with colleges starting back up this week, we treated our viewers to two local bands instead of one.

We once again had local rock group Eason, this time performing at The Boathouse along the Intracoastal Waterway in Myrtle Beach.

And we introduced our viewers to SharkLegs, another popular local rock group, who played at The Clubhouse in Myrtle Beach.

We thanked our Sunday morning FOX viewers, and leave the time slot for someone else! We return to FOX next Friday in our new 7:30am time slot.
