Scott Honeycutt: A Delightful Man Who Prepared Fabulous Food

Recently, Scott Honeycutt of Sweetgrass Catering passed from this life to join loved ones in the next life.

Many of you may remember Scott as he appeared on our show in the Sweetgrass Catering pieces, or during the Little River Deli coverage.

He also catered Chamber of Commerce and other events in our area.

He was a joy to be around, we will miss him, and our hearts go out to his family, friends, colleagues and clients who will indeed feel a void that Scott filled with fun, laughter, and great food.

Dozens more stoogified Friday night in Little River

Friday night dozens more locals and visitors to the area joined the many locals who've previously been stoogified by local rock group the Sick Stooges.

The local rock group is known for its ability to engage a crowd and systematically transform previously sedentary people into dancers of all types.

Watching the process is as entertaining as going through it, we might add.

On location at Crab Catchers waterfront restaurant in Little River

On a recent summer evening, myrtle beach TV headed down to the historic waterfront in Little River to enjoy breath-taking views of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway as well as some of the tastiest local shrimp money can buy.

Sun Fun Festival move to Grand Park area considered a success by Chamber

The controversial move of the Sun Fun Festival from the downtown area to the Grand Park area adjacent to the new Market Common was reported by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce to be a success.

Missing was the parade, which we heard may return next year.

The new location for the festival definitely allows room for future growth, as well as ample parking for visitors.

Conway National Bank opens new branch on Hwy 9

Conway National Bank celebrated the Grand Opening of its 14th branch location on Highway 9 recently.

Myrtle Beach TV talked with the bank president while capturing some of the Grand opening fun and festivities.

Little River incorporation effort questioned

An ad hoc commmittee that's spent many months researching the feasibility of incorporating Little River held the first in a series of town hall meetings for Little River residents to talk about the pros and cons of incorporating.

The unincorporated area of Little River has undergone many incorporation attempts over the past several decades, all without success.

Within just the past 10 years, however, a rapid succession of changes have strained the previously more serence setting of life for Little River residents, namely the Las Vegas style gambling boats and plans for Myrtle Beach style high-rise condo projects. Veterans and others help promote POWs awareness

This past weekend, myrtle beach TV talked with Bill Holland of the Vietnam's Veteran's Association at Choppers Sports Bar and Grill on Restaurant Row in Myrtle Beach.

The fundraising event for American soldiers fighting for our freedom who've been left behind on foreign soil was also co-promoted by local motorcycle fundraising group Rolling Thunder.

The event featured one of the most in-demand local rock bands, the Sick Stooges.

North Myrtle Beach Chamber hands out awards

The North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce held its 8th Annual Dinner at the Surf Club in North Myrtle Beach, where its leaders handed out four awards to deserving locals.

Awards presented were for Ambassador of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and the Distinguished Service Award.

NMB Chamber gets new president

The North Myrtle Beach Chamber hired Marc Jordan as their new CEO/President, and he comes with a stellar record in chamber leadership. Jordan moved into his position on March 3rd, 2008.

He and wife Vicky relocated to our beach from Lynchburg, Virginia, and we talked with them at the chamber offices during his first week of work at the chamber.
